You are no longer a newborn, that's for sure! You are now over 10 pounds and have outgrown your newborn sized clothing. Your personality is developing and you are more aware of the world around you every day.
Your papa loves to drum on your tummy and back. He will also take your arms and drum with them. You have this look of "what the heck is going on?" in your eyes. He drums on your back when you are laying on his chest to calm you down. I think it's unfair that he can teach you his instrument so easily! We need to start exposing you to the glorious sounds of the oboe, but honestly, I'm afraid it'll make you cry.
Your favorite time of the day is when we change your diaper. As soon as we undo the velcro on your diaper cover, you start smiling. Your arms and legs get really active moving all over the place. I love to give you as much time as I can on the changing table just to see those beautiful smiles.
The sounds you make continually make us laugh. You let out these high pitched little noises like you're trying to talk or just trying to find your voice. It is one of the things that makes us melt. On the other hand, you are also getting louder. You let us know when something is wrong!
We have discovered that you prefer to nap on your stomach. I figured this out after realizing that you were always napping on my chest while I was partially reclined. Fortunately, you don't have a problem with sleeping on your back during the night.
There are a lot of changes coming up this next month for our family. Papa and I both have to go back to work, which means you will be starting daycare. I worry about how will you will do without us, but I worry even more about how we will do without you.
