10 months

We had a family day at home today. I was off work and Nick called in sick with a cold. We are all snotty over here. Jay had his flu shot this afternoon as well as a weight check. He is only up 9 ounces from last month. Our ped wasn't there, so we'll wait to hear what he has to say. I bet we'll just be back in a month for another check. Meanwhile, Jay has been eating really well. He does great with finger foods and loves yogurt.

Today he also discovered the stairs in our house. He made it up the whole way by himself twice (with Nick right behind). We'll save the descending part for another day.

It's hard to stop taking pictures when your subject is so cute.

Weekend

Nick had band competitions in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids on Saturday. I drove to Iowa City with Jay - my first time driving alone with him for a long distance, and he slept the whole way! It was cool and windy so he wore the cutest jacket ever. The band kids were crawling over each other to get up close and coo over how cute he was. So many of them whipped out their cell phones to take pictures, I felt like maybe I need a picture policy to avoid having him all over the internet, but I guess I'm the biggest contributor to that.

On Sunday, we went to an apple orchard and pumpkin patch with Grandma and Grandpa just outside of Cedar Rapids.

I love how the pumpkin is bigger than him.
